A 71-year-old Egg Harbor Township man was charged with vehicular homicide after he struck and killed a 13-year-old Pleasantville boy, authorities announced Tuesday, Aug. 26.
On Saturday, May 17 at 2:20 p.m., Gary Battisti struck a 13-year-old boy while driving on Delaware Avenue in Egg Harbor Township, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said.
The 13-year-old, who was not identified, was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead, authorities said. Battisti was traveling at an excessive speed at the time of the crash, authorities said.
